Schlaraffia in Philadelphia – A Chapter with Tradition

Reych Filadelfia is part of the worldwide Schlaraffia community – a fellowship of men dedicated to humor, friendship, and art. As Chapter No. 128, we are embedded in a global network of over 200 chapters on every continent.

We meet regularly in Philadelphia for our Sippungen – evenings full of humor, art, and genuine fellowship. Professional titles and everyday stress stay outside. Inside, only the person matters: their wit, their talent, their warmth.

🦉 Did you know? The term Reych is the Schlaraffia word for the local chapter. Each Reych has its own name, its own coat of arms, and its own history – connected by the shared Schlaraffia game.

Our Community

What unites our members is not their profession or background – but the shared joy of play. Guests are always welcome – no cost, no obligation. Just come by and experience what Schlaraffia is all about!

Seit 2000 ist unser Vereinszimmer, genannt die Pennburg oder das Schlaraffenzimmer, in der Vereinigung Erzgebirge  in Warminster. Veranstaltungen fanden und finden aber auch in Philadelphias  Canstatter Verein, in der Deutschen Gesellschaft und sonst wo statt. Von 1960 bis 2000 war unser Vereinszimmer in der Deutschen Gesellschaft, 711 Springgarden Street, Philadelphia, wo man auch heute noch vom Schlaraffenzimmer spricht. Vorher, seit 1895, hatte die Pennburg weitere acht Addressen in der Stadt in Philadelphia.
